Dogs Connect

The Maryborough Education Centre school community is thrilled to be partnered with Dogs Connect to improve the social and emotional learning outcomes of our students with the help of Daisy and Maisy, our Groodles. Dogs Connect is an innovative and highly successful learning program that introduces a dog to the classroom. This Australia-first learning program helps improve culture in schools by focusing on student wellbeing and connectedness. The program is based on academic research around student wellbeing and applied learning, combined with experience from a broad range of teaching and behavioural management practices. “Daisy and Maisy have become permanent members of our learning community and are central to the daily life of our school and will be for years into the future. Their presence at MEC makes the heart of the school beat a little louder.” – David Sutton – Principal
