Uniform assistance
If you need assistance with uniform then the Student Services team can assist you. We can access State Schools Relief who are a charitable organisation that assists Victorian government school students who are experiencing financial disadvantage because of short-term crisis or long-term chronic need.
Uniform bank – MEC has a uniform bank that is open to all students and families. Second-hand uniform is available to purchase, and uniform is available to loan in the event of a crisis, or until your own uniform can be purchased.
Breakfast program
Breakfast Program- The Student Services team run the Breakfast Program at MEC. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and sets students up for success. The program provides a nutritional breakfast for all students three days per week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.15am-8.50pm in Wareek.
Fruit bowl
MEC provides fresh fruit weekly free of charge for all students. A variety of fresh fruit is provided for easy access. We encourage our students to get their serves of fresh fruit daily.
CSEF – The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend activities like:
- school camps or trips
- swimming and school-organised sport programs
- outdoor education programs
- excursions and incursions.
Families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply.
