Maryborough Education Centre treats your confidential information with the upmost respect and protects your privacy. As part of providing a diverse curriculum we need to utilise a range of digital tools created by third parties. We actively review all software providers prior to using them in accordance with DET guidelines. Below is a list of third party software which we use at MEC.

Purpose for Use

Edrolo is used by V.C.E students to develop students’ subject knowledge and preparedness for Exams


Privacy

Edrolo's privacy policy can be accessed here. The site uses first name and surname for identification purposes in order to certify user completion of training.

Parent consent for the use of Edrolo is considered ‘opt-out’ under the DET Privacy Policy. To discuss you this further contact MEC.

Purpose for Use

The OnGuard Safety Training website is used to develop students’ knowledge of safety risks when working in technology based practical areas (e.g. woods, metals, plastics). Students access the site using login details provided by the classroom teacher. The URL to access the site is: https://www.onguardsafety.com.au/

OnGuard’s privacy policy can be accessed here. The site uses first name and surname for identification purposes in order to certify user completion of training.

Purpose for Use

The Office 365 Suite [aka: O365] is collection of tools developed by Microsoft. For detailed information about O365, visit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office

Students access O365 tools using their Edupass email and password. Each individual tool has a unique access link at which they are required to log in using their BSE credentials.

Office 365’s terms of use can be accessed here and the site’s privacy policy can be accessed here. The site uses first name and surname for identification purposes and Edupass email for login and notifications.

Consent Requirements

Parent consent for the use of Office 365 at MEC is combined with the Digital Technologies Acceptable Usage Agreement which families and are to review annually. Please contact the school if you wish to discuss your privacy options for O365.

Purpose for Use

Stile is used for Science classes for Years 7-10 for the delivery of learning content and resouces. The site is used regularly by students undertake learning tasks created by MEC staff or from the Stile lesson libary. Student access Stile using their edupass email and password: https://stileapp.com/login

Purpose for Use

Xuno is used by MEC to manage and delivery many administrative functions at MEC. Such as cordinating student timetables, marking rolls, preparing events and acedmic reports. Learn more about Xuno here.
